The 2022 Venice Shorts Film Festival awarded Richard Townsley with “Best Editor” for his work on COLD START. The film has received several official selections from major, respected film festivals including the LA Shorts Film Festival, Marina Del Rey Film Festival Catalina Film Festival. The San Antonio Film Festival re-ran COLD START for a second day, labeling the film as a “must-see.” COLD START was also a Semi-Finalist at the Los Angeles Student Film Awards.
